The Juniors Acquiring Knowledge, Ethics, & Sportsmanship Program was established in 1981. JAKES is dedicated to informing, educating and involving youth 17 and younger in wildlife conservation and the wise stewardship of our natural resources.

Created by the National Wild Turkey Federation, JAKES provides kids with an incredible opportunity to explore the great outdoors. Whether it is tracking wildlife, learning survival skills, or simply soaking in the national beauty, JAKES offers an exciting adventure for a young outdoor enthusiast. So, if you are passionate about nature, and want to share that passion with your family, Jakes is the perfect program to get involved in!

JAKES events help pass on the traditions of responsible, safe and ethical hunting, and teach the principles of habitat management.
Established in 1981, the JAKES program is dedicated to informing, educating and involving youth 17 and younger in wildlife conservation and the wise stewardship of our natural resources.
For $10 a year, JAKES receive a year subscription to JAKES Country magazine (4 issues), a chance to win a hunt of a lifetime and a membership card.
