Attending a Jakes event is a real treat for most young outdoor enthusiasts. They can learn all about our wild turkey and many other areas of the outdoors such as survival and other wildlife. Instruction is on forestry, fishing, hunting, calling, shooting, crafts and meeting many specialists in their field of expertise. Most events will provide gifts for all the participants such as the T-Shirt Luke Chitwood is wearing.
 Luke added his own touches to the shirt by coloring the turkey and adding color to the shirt. Chapters holding a Jakes Event meets one of the requirements of becoming a Five Star Chapter. Involving the children in your area will keep them or get them interested in the outdoors and add to our future hunters and to our Hunting Heritage Preservation. If, you need help setting up a Jakes event contact your Regional Director. |
